We are thrilled to announce that the Victoria’s High Country App has now officially launched and is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. The App represents a stress free and simple way for visitors to dream, book and explore Victoria’s High Country with confidence.

The App, which allows visitors to search for and curate experiences and offerings based on their interests, location and needs, was developed by TNE, with support from the Victorian State Government, to enhance the region’s digital offerings and capabilities.

The launch coincides with the distribution of the brand new Victoria’s High Country Official Visitor Guide, a comprehensive printed whole of region guide that will be available at Visitor Information Centres and tourism businesses around the region.

TNE are in the process of piloting launch collateral including window decals, posters, DL flyers and counter stands, featuring QR codes to direct visitors to install the App. These are currently being trialed in Beechworth, and will progressively become available to all tourism businesses across the region by the end of the year.

Some of the key capabilities of the App include:

  • The App leverages tourism businesses’ existing investment in content. Any business with an ATDW listing is automatically listed on the App, at no additional cost to industry. There are currently over 3,000 products and experiences available through the App.
  • Extensive mapping and wayfinding capabilities increase visitor’s confidence to explore. All products and experiences are shown on a map relative to the users location, including walking and cycling trails.
  • Works in and out of range – all the key features of the App including mapping, wayfinding and full search of all ATDW products and experiences, are available whether you’re in or out of mobile coverage.
  • Digitally directed signage enabled with visitor information QR codes which direct visitors to location-specific content via the App or VictoriasHighCountry.com.au website.
  • Hyper-local content – start with experiences closest to the visitor’s current location
