Expressions of Interest are now open for the Victoria’s High Country Nature for All – Accelerator Program.

The Accelerator Program is an initiative managed by Tourism North East designed to support the development and acceleration of inclusive and iconic nature based High Country experiences to improve the region’s product offering to ensure that our most unique experiences remain a core visitation driver for our region.

Research supports that social activities are among the most popular activities engaged in by visitors to the High Country (78%) and engagement in nature-based experiences makes up 37% of activity consumption. It is therefore of particular interest to TNE to increase engagement with the natural landscapes of the High Country including the activation of waterways and the development of new tourism products and experiences.

Victoria’s High Country is blessed with rich and unique natural landscapes and incredible opportunities to explore and adventure in nature. It is vital that we prioritise universal design and accessibility to ensure all visitors can enjoy our region regardless of their access needs.

Products that support the development of inclusive experiences to be enjoyed by all will be favorably considered.

The primary aims of the program are to:

  • Accelerate the development of new products/services that better meet the needs of the existing visitors and work to attract new visitors.
  • Support demand-driving activations that position the region as a premium offering, building brand equity and long-term consumer advocacy.
  • Create greater diversity of pre-bookable paid experiences in Victoria’s High Country.

Successful applicants will be led through a process of product development and one on one mentoring to curate, refine and launch their online bookable experience – supported by tourism, experience and product development experts.
