New TNE Staff
TNE is pleased to welcome several new staff to the Beechworth-based team who bring a wealth of knowledge and diverse skill-set to the organisation.
Eddie Wilson has been appointed as the new Industry & Product Development Manager, working across the product pillars of Cycle Tourism, Nature-based Tourism and Snow in a full-time capacity. Eddie brings the ideal combination of government, tourism and industry experience to the role, having worked for organisations like Buller Ski Lifts, the Alpine Resorts Coordinating Council and the City of Melbourne Business and Tourism Branch. Added to that, he’s an avid skier, cyclist and adventurer, so is passionate about driving positive tourism outcomes across these product categories for the High Country. Eddie will join the team on 1 August 2016, so will meet with TNE’s industry partners soon after that.
This position was previously held on a part-time basis by the ever-talented Jade Miles. With a number of flourishing businesses outside of work, Jade is now pulling back to working one day a week at TNE. She will still be a crucial part of the Industry & Product Development team, delivering business development and industry sessions throughout the region.
Many of you would also have already met Sue Couttie, who has taken on the role of PR Manager while Sally Brown is away on maternity leave. Sue hit the ground running when she joined the team several months ago and she hasn’t stopped since! Sue has worked in a range of senior PR positions, driving publicity efforts for high profiled events like the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts and Olympic Arts Festivals in Sydney. She has worked locally for Alpine Shire and Indigo Shire in tourism and development, and has managed publicity for the new Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) just to name a few. As such, she has a comprehensive understanding of the High Country offering and a comprehensive background in PR, so is perfectly positioned to drive strong media exposure for the region.
