Falls Creek Resort and Bright Brewery each celebrated major wins at this year’s RACV Victorian Tourism Awards.

Falls Creek took home Gold in the prestigious Best Major Tourism Attractions category while the team from Bright Brewery celebrated back-to-back Gold in the Tourism Wineries, Breweries and Distilleries category.

Falls Creek Alpine Resort Management Board CEO Stuart Smythe said the award was a tribute to the outstanding performance and year-round hard work of the Resort’s stakeholders, business operators and resort management team, all of whom collectively shared the vision and passion of the resort and its primary goal of being Australia’s premier all seasons alpine resort. He said it was an honour to be recognised and awarded such an accolade by industry peers and an expert panel of judges across a range of categories.

Commenting on Bright Brewery’s win, founder Scott Brandon said the award recognised the hard work and dedication of his team and its commitment to bringing his vision to life. “We are immensely proud to have won this award again in 2018, and we were chuffed to be in such excellent company, competing for our award against some truly great Victorian businesses such as Domaine Chandon (Silver Award)”.

The awards were announced at the annual Gala dinner on 22 November which celebrated and recognised the outstanding achievements of tourism businesses from across the State in 27 categories and three individual categories.
