The Victorian Alpine Resorts has welcomed the State Government announcement of a further easing of Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, and that the snow season can commence from 22 June.

The resorts are continuing to work on their COVID SAFE operating plans, including capacity management, traceability, cleaning and hygiene, accommodation (commercial, shared and staff), food and beverage and transportation. There is much to be done before the resorts can provide their usual services including downhill skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing.

Ahead of 22 June, the resorts will be open as destinations that can be visited in accordance with Victorian State Government directives. Anyone visiting from the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend will be required to pre-purchase a resort entry pass online and carry wheel chains as required by each resort. However, the ski fields will remain closed, along with most of the other facilities and services that usually mark the formal commencement of the season.

Pre-purchased ticketed entry enables the resorts to effectively manage capacity in accordance with the Victorian Government’s public health measures. It also sustains services that are essential to keep the resorts operating during this time including snow clearing, parking and public facilities.

Further information specific to the offering of each resort will be released on their individual websites shortly:
