Children under the age of 15 years can be employed in Victoria. When undertaken safely and in accordance with the law, it can provide a great introduction for children into working life and can assist employers with their labour needs.
Wage Inspectorate Victoria is offering a new, self-directed course for businesses looking to learn more about employing children under the age of 15 in Victoria, and applying for a child employment licence. A licence is required in most instances, and only one licence is required to employ multiple children.
