Applications are now open for Agriculture Victoria’s Rural Women’s Network’s 2024 flagship Leadership and Mentoring Program, closing 2 September 2024.
The opening of this important program, redesigned to be delivered as two 3-day residential immersive sessions, marks a significant step in empowering female leaders across agriculture.
The Program aims to accelerate and empower women in the agriculture industry, by building their skills and confidence to participate in leadership and decision making that benefits the sector and their broader communities. Up to 20 women across Victoria will have the opportunity to participate.
Leadership can take many forms and is not always underpinned by gaining ‘positions of authority’. Many women exhibit leadership qualities in quiet, often unrecognised ways – they may not even see themselves as leaders. These women are encouraged to apply.
All study and accommodation costs to participate in the program are covered, with additional capped allowances for childcare and travel provided to those who require this support.
All rural and regional based women working across the agriculture supply chain, including tourism and events, in Victoria are encouraged to apply.
