Thank you for agreeing to take part in filming/photography for Tourism North East.
In accordance with the broadcast agreement and financing of this production, we would ask that you read and agree in signing this form on behalf of yourself and any additional family members.
I, the undersigned, understand that I will work as a volunteer with TNE on the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
1. Volunteer Position
This is a volunteer position. This means that the volunteer performs all duties on a voluntary basis, of their own free will, and will not receive payment for the work. The volunteer is not employed by TNE and is not entitled to a salary or any other entitlements associated with employment. TNE may from time to time provide benefits or pay honorariums in the form of High Country products and/or experiences in appreciation for the assistance provided.
2. Legal Relationship
This document is not intended to be a legally binding contract between TNE and the volunteer, and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither TNE nor the volunteer intend any employment, contractor or agency relationship to be created between the volunteer and TNE either now or at any time in the future.
3. Volunteer Obligations
The volunteer’s obligations are to:
a) act in the best interests of TNE;
b) support TNE’s aims and objectives;
c) participate in all relevant induction and training programs;
d) follow the instructions and directions of designated TNE representatives while on duty;
e) understand and comply with TNE’s policies and procedures (as amended from time to time);
f) notify their supervisor or any other designated TNE representative of any hazardous situations that pose a risk to their or others and report any accidents or incidents relating to staff, volunteers or equipment;
g) behave appropriately and courteously to both the staff and the public with whom they interact in the course of their role as volunteer;
h) let us know if they wish to change the nature of they contribution (e.g. hours or role) to TNE at any time; and
i) be open and honest in their dealings with TNE and let us know if we can improve our volunteer program and the support that they receive.
4. Filming and Photography
The volunteer understands and agrees that photographic and video images (adapted, edited or modified version of it) taken of the below stated person/family and/or establishment may be used throughout the world in all present and future media and by all present and future methods of exploiting interactive multimedia products by, Tourism North East, Visit Victoria and any third party provided with the image.
The volunteer understands and acknowledges that TNE owns all rights, titles and interests in the photographs/video recordings and that the volunteer will waive the right to inspect or approve the photographs/video recordings prior to TNE publishing them.
The volunteer also understands that the photographs and videos may be used for a variety of activities throughout the world, and viewed in a variety of situations. The photographs and videos may also form part of Visit Victoria’s Photographic Library.
The volunteer further understands that TNE is not obligated to use the photographs/recording.
5. Accountability
The volunteer is required to report directly to and be accountable to Bess Nolan-Cook, CEO, Tourism North East.
6. Police Checks
If working with children other than their own, it is a condition of the volunteer role that the volunteer provide TNE with a police check at the expense of TNE prior to commencing the volunteer role or subsequent to commencing volunteering duties at any time when requested by TNE.
7. Working with Children Check
If working with children other than their own, it is a condition of the volunteer role that TNE is provided with a Working with Children Check of the volunteer at the expense of TNE prior to the commencement of the volunteer role or subsequent to commencing volunteering duties at any time when requested by TNE.
8. Confidential information
During the period of the volunteer position with TNE or at any time thereafter the volunteer is not to disclose to any unauthorised person confidential information relating to the business, staff or clients of TNE.
9. Property
The volunteer is responsible for any property and money entrusted to them by TNE and must account to TNE for any losses. The volunteer must also use any property or equipment given to them in the volunteer role only for the purposes of the volunteer role and return it to TNE when they finish their volunteer role.
All documents, client lists and computer records which are created during the volunteer position with TNE will belong to TNE and must be returned to TNE at the end of the volunteer position, or otherwise when requested.
10. Policies and procedures
TNE has policies and procedures that are formulated for efficient and fair administration. You agree to comply with any policies and procedures which TNE has or may in the future adopt.
11. Occupational Health and Safety Obligations
The volunteer is required to comply with all occupational health and safety laws and all policies and procedures implemented by TNE.
12. Insurance
The volunteer will not be covered by WorkCover. However, the volunteer will be covered by TNE’s public liability insurance whilst carrying out the volunteer role that has been approved and authorised by TNE.
13. Acceptance
To signify acceptance of these terms and conditions, please sign this digital form by ticking the box below and filling out the date. A copy of the signed form will be emailed for the volunteer records.
