The Victorian Government has announced the Public Events Framework.

The Public Events Framework sets out the requirements for organising a public event and includes information for indoor and outdoor setting, limits on the number of people attending the event, density requirements and further information on COVID Safe principles and behaviours.

Under the Public Events Framework, public events are defined as: “an organised public gathering for a common purpose which is conducted on a one-off or periodic basis, it may be open to members of the public, publicly announced or advertised, and may be subject to specific license, approvals or permits.”

Event organisers can complete the public event self-assessment tool by answering questions about the number of attendees and public health risk factors. This will help you to find out the tier classification for your event and requirements of you before hosting the experience.

Further information on the Public Events Framework is available at the Coronavirus Victoria website.
