The workshops follow the November release of extensive research commissioned from Quantum Research by Tourism North East into the High Country’s walk offerings and current walk visitor market segments.
The High Country is known for the diversity and abundance of its natural assets which naturally align with a walking offering. Across the region, walking trails cover a full range of opportunities from short town walks to multi-day wilderness walks. But what do the different walking market segments look like? What are walkers willing to travel for and spend money on? Where do they want to stay? Who will be most valuable segments to target over time? What do our emerging markets look like?
TNE’s FREE two-hour sessions will break down Quantum’s key findings from the Walk Tourism Market Segmentation Research Report and look at how your business can best use these findings to capture this market.
The workshops will also coincide with a new Walk High Country digital marketing campaign being launched by Tourism North East in February. The campaign continues TNE’s development of strong brands to represent each of the region’s product pillars and aims to position the region as a ‘must-walk’ destination via an integrated and targeted advertising campaign focused on the Melbourne metropolitan market. The campaign includes new branding and a walkhighcountry.com.au site showcasing more than 100 of the region’s best hikes, bushwalks and village strolls.
